This movie was made in 1987, and it’s about a platoon of United States Marine Corps recruits who are training to go fight the Vietnam War. The film follows these soldiers through their rigorous training as they’re molded into Marines, how they live together as a unit, all while dealing with the absurdities that come from living so close to one another for such an extended period of time. This is just like Inglorious Basterds because it shows war movies from both sides (the American side and the Vietnamese)
Full Metal Jacket has much more violence than Inglorious Basterds does but this scene may make you feel less squeamish. After Leonard accidentally kills Private Pyle during a bayonet exercise and leaves him lying on the ground, Pyle’s body is used as a mannequin for continuing drills and practice.

American Psycho is a movie about an investment banker who becomes consumed by materialism and losing his grip on sanity. The film follows Patrick Bateman, played by Christian Bale, as he tries to keep up with the latest trends in order to fit into society’s definition of success at any cost.
