This baritone song is a soft rock tune that was written by Harold Arlen and E.Y. Harburg for the movie “The Wizard of Oz” (1939). It has been performed live many times since it was released, but its most famous version comes from Israel Kamakawiwo’ole who rearranged the baritone song with traditional ukulele accompaniment to make it sound like an anthem in 2002 before he died three years later at age 38.
